The NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda is the world's largest hospital dedicated to clinical research, supporting 17 Institutes with inpatient and outpatient care. Its Nutrition Department delivers complex, patient-focused food services and supports over 150 specialized diets while contributing to clinical research through protocol design, data analysis, and nutrition science integration.
What You'll Do
- →Plan and determine the current and future requirements for the various commodities assigned.
- →Review, verify and revise information regarding the stock status.
- →Contact various vendors for price quotes, item availability, and status of actions.
- →Conducts and manages line item purchases through the General Services Administration (GSA) for the assigned area.
- →Conduct spot audits to ensure proper protection and storage of sensitive, technical or hazardous materials.
- →Determine disposition of materials and coordinate with property management to dispose of surplus supplies, equipment and materials Maintains document number logs, purchase order files, receiving document files, price quotes and pricing files and delivery schedule files for stock procurement in accordance with guidelines, and establishing vendor catalogs.
