About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations will allow you to manage and direct the administrative, investigative, and protective matters essential to support operations. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as an International Programs Administrator in the Office of Field Operations.
  • Typical work assignments include: Providing procedural and financial management advice and assistance regrading supply allocation and training expenditures.
  • Maintaining financial records and files, tracking status of bills, clarifying changes and obtaining supporting documentation; identifying and reporting erroneous changes and ensuing proper crediting of accounts.
  • Establishing administrative procedures, internal controls, and standard operations procedures for the assigned offices and advising the Resident Agent In Charge of new regulations, policies, procedures that affect the administrative and support functions of the office.
  • Performing preliminary searches and inputs new data into criminal databases; aids in the development of background information on subjects of investigations and leads in criminal cases and assists agents with link analysis.
  • During protective visits, contacting other law enforcement agencies concerning the protectee's visit, using various criminal databases to conduct name checks, conducting hospital surveys, gathering and analyzing criminal histories of those that may have contact with the protectee, and flagging and reporting those files that require further investigation.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

  • This is an overseas assignment with a minimum assignment period of three years.
  • Relocation will be authorized.
