About the Position: Works under general Supervision of the Operations Manager and the Assistant Operations Manager. Assignments are received in terms of general objectives with timeframe for completion. Incumbent is expected to complete assignments independently in accordance with existing directives and policies. Supervisor is usually, but not always, available to provide advice and assistance. Discusses controversial problems and matters of policy with supervisor.
What You'll Do
- →Forest and Vegetative Management: Develops long and short-range plans for forestry and silvicultural practices including reforestation, timber stand improvement, inventory, and timber sales.
- →Fish and Wildlife: Develops and implements plans for management of Fisheries and wildlife.
- →General Administration: Responsibilities include establishing priorities of work to be performed and equipment to be purchased.
- →Team Leader: Serves in a lead capacity for any of the following: Recreation Management, Natural Resource Management, Visitor Assistance, and Interpretive Services and Outreach Programs.
- →Soils: Ensures proper soil conservation practices are included for timber sales, resource leases, recreation, and road construction activities.
- →Shoreline Management: Is responsible for maintenance, marking, and protecting the lake boundary.
- →Cultural and Historic Resources: Prepares and updates cultural and historical resource inventory/protection plan.
