This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent serves as Supervisory Section Chief with responsibility for planning, programming, directing, reviewing, and insuring performance of the diverse environmental mission projects in the Sacramento District.
What You'll Do
- →Applies an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods and practices as well as professional knowledge of the engineering and science disciplines.
- →Responsible for the direct supervision of a staff including multidisciplinary Program and Project Managers and support staff.
- →Establishes priorities and assures timely completion and acceptable quantity and quality of work products.
- →Supervises subordinate Program and Project Managers consisting of specialists in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental protection specialists, and other engineers/scientists.
- →Serves as Supervisory Section Chief with responsibility for planning, programming, directing, reviewing, and ensuring performance of the diverse environmental mission projects in the Sacramento District.
- →Interfaces with other District staff to ensure overall coordination on assigned programs for planning, engineering, real estate, contracting, construction, and legal issues.
- →Interfaces with the customers, state and Federal government agencies, higher headquarters, and others interested in the FUDS, BRAC, EQ, and IRP programs.
