This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Bachelor Degree Candidates at Science and Technology Reinvention Labs. What You'll Do
- →You will conducts in-house technical activities or provide contract technical direction on projects/ programs.
- →You will write or contribute to scientific papers, journal articles or reports and/or contract documents and review reports pertaining to area of technical expertise.
- →You will prepare and present own and/or team technical results, orally or in writing, to varied laboratory, scientific, industry and other government audiences.
- →You will be recognized internally and externally by peers, both in governmental and industrial activities, for technical expertise.
- →You will manage technically complex in-house work units or one or more contractual efforts in assigned program area.
- →You will plan and control all assigned resources; make effective use of facilities to optimize operations; exploit fallout money.
- →You will participate in strategic planning at team level, taking cognizance of complementary projects elsewhere to ensure optimal use of resources.
- →You will initiate interactions with customers to understand customer needs.
- →You will develop and present demonstrations of technology to customers.
- →You will implement partnerships for technology transition and/or transfer (ATDs, MOUs, JDL/Reliance, CRADAs and other dual-use vehicles).
- →You will contribute in a major team role either as a senior scientist/technician or as a task or team leader.
- →You will carry out a full range of supervisory duties with respect to lower level staff, including one or more subordinate professionals.
- →You will identify and resolve developmental needs and problems, complete appropriate administrative actions, and comply with EEO/Safety and other regulations/policies.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: For 0830/ 0861 series: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/).
- ✓Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
