You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the FST ENGINEERING DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST supporting the Presidential Helicopter VH-92 FST.
What You'll Do
- →You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of modifications for the program.
- →You will analyze/recommend adjustments to specified service life intervals for aircraft/weapons and equipment.
- →You will determine the best approach to resolve complex technical engineering problems.
- →You will manage the requirements for qualified personnel, processes, facilities, and ensures training/requirements are translated onto sound engineering products.
- →You will ensure safe and prudent operations through technical assessment of problems requiring platform grounding and or restricted operations, plus develops solutions to those problems.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
