About the Role
You will serve as a INSTRUMENT MECHANIC in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, ELECTRICAL SHOP of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, modify, test and calibrate a variety of complex, multifunctional, interrelated, multicomponent precision instruments and equipment.
- →You will determine if making needed repairs and adjustments would be feasible and cost effective.
- →You will make modifications or adaptations to obtain desired performance characteristics.
- →You will consider interactions of functionally related subsystems to isolate malfunctions when making repairs adjustments and alignments.
