What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Network Management Branch, Office of Information Systems, Information, Policy and Public Affairs Division.
- →Provides the Bureau of Prisons with comprehensive computer, computer networking, and information system support.
- →Acts as a technical expert in computer hardware, Local Area Networks (LANs), commercial personal computer software, custom personal computer programming, and telecommunications software and must possess a mastery of these specialty areas.
- →Develops software and evaluates new technology within guidelines specified by the Office of Information Systems that will support all Bureau personnel.
- →Designs, implements and maintains complex mission-critical in house programs and sub routines, including generalized record selection programs, linkage routines to operating systems, data communications systems and check point/restart procedures.
- →Performs major diagnostics and troubleshooting on personal computers, telecommunications and related equipment.
Requirements
