This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Information Technology Project Manager (Policy and Planning) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Information Technology Project Manager (Policy and Planning) for the Joint Activities located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. What You'll Do
- →Develop funding strategies by supporting research, development, testing, and evaluation activities for strategic and tactical command, control, communications, and computer systems.
- →Review IT technical requirements by assessing accuracy, completeness, feasibility, and alignment with organizational needs.
- →Recommend adjustments to command priorities by aligning them with changes in C4I system needs and the evolving requirements of supported detachments.
- →Develop resourcing strategies by supporting the development, acquisition, testing, and fielding of C4I systems.
- →Perform the full range of immediate and intermediate supervision by assigning work to subordinates and ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with organizational standards.
- →Provide technical oversight of subordinate-assigned commodity areas by monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with established standards, and guiding resolution of technical issues.
- →Develop performance plans by setting expectations, and rate subordinates by evaluating results against established standards.
- →Develop and present the unit’s Program Objective Memorandum, fiscal year spend plans, and financial status reports by preparing detailed analyses for leadership review and approval.
- →Coordinate with the command on detailed budget execution by validating dollar-level requirements across multiple expenditure lines needed to support the unit's mission.
- →Execute agreements and directives from higher-headquarters working groups by translating them into actionable plans for the organization, its directorates, and supported units.
- →Manage projects and assignments by conducting analysis and evaluation of training and operational C4I requirements.
- →Conduct analyses by evaluating project management strategies, and recommend the appropriate course of action by identifying options that best support organizational objectives.
- →Evaluate assigned projects by working with action officers to ensure understanding of requirements and the Commander’s intent.
- →Monitor C4I projects and programs by tracking cost, schedule, and performance to ensure they remain within stated objectives.
