What You'll Do

  • If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team serving as a Receptionist in the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
  • Typical work assignments will include, but are not limited to: Receiving incoming telephone calls and visitors entering the office to provide necessary information and establish contacts with appropriate departments.
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries, providing general information regarding office programs.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Coordinating with office staff to ensure coverage of daily operations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining miscellaneous data files.
  • Maintaining adequate levels of mailing and shipping supplies.
  • Providing pedestrian courier services to deliver and retrieve documents and other case-related material between federal agencies.
  • Assisting with other administrative functions as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Requirements

  • All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
  • Department of Education.
