About the Position: This is a developmental Industrial Hygienist position located at Guthrie Army Health Clinic at Fort Drum, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation is available to those new to federal employment.
What You'll Do
- →Assess working practices and environmental conditions to ensure compliance with established occupational safety and health regulations.
- →Prepare reports using data collected.
- →Document findings into the Defense Occupational Environmental Health Readiness System-Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH).
- →Assist with worker education and training.
- →Conduct annual surveys of assigned buildings to evaluate hazardous conditions on any new or existing environmental hazards and potentially hazardous conditions.
- →Collect air samples as determined by building inspections or special projects.
- →Collect data from building surveys, air samples and walk-through surveys to enter into the DOEHRS-IH.
- →Review new construction, renovation, and/or other construction design projects to ensure all potential health hazards are addressed.
