About the Position: This position is located at the 66th Medical Group, Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Plan all facets of the installation Environmental and Occupational Health Program, to include radiation health, as directed by leadership of the Bioenvironmental Engineering element.
- →Review regulatory requirements prior to conducting comprehensive occupational and environmental health surveys, evaluations, and audits to assess hazards.
- →Develop sampling strategies using indirect and direct reading instruments such as pumps, meters, heat stress monitors, and/or dosimeters, to quantify assess and quantify hazards.
- →Determine compliance with applicable regulations for occupational health, safety, and environmental hazards and practices and recommend corrective action.
- →Assist in the development of instruction designed to inform employees, supervisors, management, and other personnel on related occupational and industrial health, safety, and environmental issues.
- →Provide emergency response guidance to on-scene commanders, fire fighters, and other emergency response personnel as needed.
