About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management (HRM), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), and will be filled in three of the following locations: Tucson, AZ San Francisco, CA Los Angeles, CA San Diego, CA Portland, OR Brownsville, TX El Paso, TX Harlingen, TX Kingsville, TX McAllen, TX Rio Grande City, TX Weslaco, TX Seattle, WA

What You'll Do

  • The incumbent serves as the headquarters' expert authority in the field of industrial hygiene, providing technical advice to all CBP headquarters leaders, senior management officials, and field supervisors.
  • This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

  • Typical duties include: Serving as the headquarters' expert authority in the field of industrial hygiene, providing technical advice to all CBP headquarters leaders, senior management officials, and field supervisors.
  • Advising management of findings and when warranted, takes corrective action to develop and implement measures to diminish the health risks.
