About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Student Loan Repayment may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service
What You'll Do
- →Inspect work areas, conduct assessments to evaluate existing potential health hazards, analyze findings, prepare reports, and recommend solutions to problems.
- →Enter data collected from surveys or air samples into Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Reporting System (DOEHRS-IH) database.
- →Perform sampling using standard methods to establish the nature and degree of hazards, and industrial products; and check compliance with Threshold Limit Values (TLV) or Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL).
- →Perform respirator fit testing; and provide worker training on respirator selection, usage, and care.
- →Maintain records associated with maintenance and calibration of equipment.
