This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c). to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Responsible for installing, aligning, and overhauling complex integrated munitions and missile manufacturing systems. Plans and lays out work using blueprints and shop math.
What You'll Do
- →Install, align, and overhaul complex integrated machinery and munitions manufacturing systems.
- →Troubleshoot interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment malfunctions.
- →Fabricate specialized tools, fixtures, and templates using conventional machine shop equipment.
- →Perform precision and structural welding on light and heavy gauge metals.
- →Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to plan repair operations.
- →Operate precision optical and laser measuring devices to verify exact mechanical tolerances.
- →Calculate accurate sizes and dimensions using standard shop mathematics and handbook formulas.
- →Execute emergency repairs on active manufacturing lines to ensure continuous production.
