Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide recruitment and placement advice and guidance to managers in support of the installation Civilian Personnel Office.
What You'll Do
- →Performs the full range of Recruitment and Placement advisory services.
- →Advises management on recruitment strategies, sources, and special programs, recruitment, relocation, and retention incentive programs.
- →Provides continuing technical advice and assistance to management on Human Resources Program.
- →Exercises knowledge and skill in applying HR methods, principles and evaluative methods/ sufficient to advise on and/or resolve moderately complex problems
Requirements
- ✓Continued from Qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, GS-11: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems.
- ✓Examples of specialized experience includes processing requests for personnel action to fill positions and/or career promote, reassign or otherwise place employees.
- ✓Coordinate priorities to be filled.
- ✓Make eligibility and qualification determinations.
- ✓Extend job offers, establish reporting dates and coordinate with all responsible personnel to insure pre-employment requirements are met.
- ✓Coordinate with supervisors, managers and other Human Resources specialists on possible staffing repercussions of reorganizations, placement actions or regulatory changes.
- ✓Identify skills in the workforce and determine how they can be addressed in the recruitment process.
- ✓Identify the true nature of management problems, consider them from the total personnel management viewpoint and recommend alternative solutions.
- ✓Assist in the planning of a solution by advising on availability of needed skills and previously overlooked sources of candidates and achieving full utilization of available skills.
- ✓Consider the possibilities of reengineering positions and the principles of good position management for dead-end career positions that cause low employee morale or excessive turnover.
- ✓Identify potential program initiatives or special projects for improvement of human resources and enhancement of program effectiveness.
- ✓Analyze tasking then plan, oversee, review and consolidate the work of others.
- ✓Communicate to managers the rationale for exclusion of individuals on job certifications in such a way as to promote understanding and acceptance of decisions.
- ✓Prepare and issue merit promotion rosters, certificates of candidate lists in accordance with regulations, local policies and established priorities.
