About the Role
This position is assigned to the Forest Service, Human Resources Management staff and serves as a Branch Chief. This position provides program leadership, direction, policy development, oversight, and advisory services in the assigned Human Resources program area. What You'll Do
- →Analyze and implement corporate decisions relative to changes in human resources policies as well as new legal guidance, laws, and regulations in the development of human resources policies and programs in support of the Agency.
- →Embrace new initiatives and is proactive in finding innovative, cost effective ways and best practices that can be implemented to enhance work processes.
- →Ensure that supervised staff are providing managers, and employees with accurate information and interpretations of agency's procedures, practices, policies, and guidelines.
- →Create and implement broad guidelines and regulations to resolve complex, novel, and systemic problems that impact employment and other policies or practices for a large service area.
- →Provide advisory services to program managers on significant policy issues, formulating projects, assessing program effectiveness, or researching or analyzing a variety of unusual conditions, problems, or questions.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
