What You'll Do
- →The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
- →Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person.
- →Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion.
- →The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year.
- →This position is located in the Office of Human Resources, Labor Relations Division and serves as the U.S.
- →Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) expert on matters and policy related to collective bargaining negotiations.

- →You are eager to serve as chief negotiator responsible for the conduct of collective bargaining/negotiations.
- →You are excited to conduct substantive preliminary studies, reviews, and analyses of major and subordinating human resources and Agency programs and workplace environment issues.
- →You are able to develop a coherent labor relations negotiation strategy based on an understanding of the legal requirements and the mission, policy, and procedures of the agency.
- →You are motivated to formulate plans and proposals for issuance of new guidance or revision of existing policies to accommodate new law, regulations, policies, and procedures emanating from OPM.
