About the Role
This position serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), located in the U.S. Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Office of Human Capital, Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT). HRIT develops and leads information system plans that meet HR automation, data, records and information management requirements - with a primary focus on establishing integrated systems for the administration and development of strategic HR information, programs, and services.
What You'll Do
- →The duties and responsibilities for a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), GS-0201-13/14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides a wide range of expert knowledge in the application of Human Resources (HR) Information System functional areas, for example, Payroll, Recruitment, Staffing and Position Management.
- →Coordinates and monitors system enhancements, modifications, and conversions provided by system releases.
- →Maintains and prepares reports, checks, and verifies reports.
- →Creates and maintains reports relating to automated systems.
- →Conducts troubleshooting for software implementation, operational problems, and user problems. reviews and updates links, edits existing web page material, makes modifications to existing design, and makes enhancements on a periodic basis.
- →Ensures staff is aware of information system processes and procedures.
