About the Role
About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist for Headquarters, Defense Health Agency (DHA) - Europe. Responsible for providing HR support to the Network Office, to execute core mission, and to optimize resources and civilian human capital while improving the recruitment and retention of personnel across the Network.
What You'll Do
- →Research, analyze, and report on special projects to include staffing, workforce management and studies to support the HR mission.
- →Review existing and new business practices and recommend changes.
- →Execute innovative personnel programs and solutions to recruit and retain quality civilian healthcare personnel.
- →Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and Federal personnel laws, theories, rules and regulations to analyze data and to identify and recommend options that meet program requirements.
- →Conduct formal and informal civilian personnel related briefings and training.
- →Serve as advisor and technical consultant on recruitment, special pay-setting and pay issues to include permanent change of station (PCS) and relocation assistance, and liaisons to resolve issues with civilian pay.
- →Assist in the development, interpretation and recommendation in the implementation of policies, and guidelines.
- →Respond to customer inquiries made directly to the Network or through the DHA, Equal Employment Office (EEO), Department of Defense (DoD), and/or Congressional inquiries.
- →Military Healthcare Human Resources experience preferred.
