The primary purpose of this position is; To serve as a senior Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Classification) in the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) with responsibility for planning, developing, and carrying out the full range of position classification and position management advisory services for civilian positions across the Air Force (AF).
What You'll Do
- →Provides position classification services involving complex and controversial classification issues for civilian positions across the Air Force (AF).
- →Positions include a wide range of professional, scientific, administrative, and highly technical positions. 2.
- →Provides position management advisory services in dealing with difficult, complex, and often controversial position management issues.
- →Offers authoritative advice and assistance to supervisors and managers to help them achieve the most efficient, effective, and economical usage of human resources in their organizations. 3.
- →Participates in special initiatives, studies and projects.
- →Participates in such projects as self-assessment reviews, review of draft classification standards, outsourcing reviews, and other projects as they arise. 4.
- →Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
- →Writes items for newsletters, responses to Congressional Inquiries concerning controversial issues, reports of special studies, scripts for briefings, letters outlining alternate position management strategies, supplements to regulations or directives, and classification appeal supplementary documentation.
