In the Indian Health Service (IHS), the Housekeeping Aid Supervisor is located at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Hospital Housekeeping Officer by supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and employees in support of quality healthcare. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

- →Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Custodian/Housekeeping Total Compensation Plans and directs housekeeping operations by determining staffing, assigning work, coordinating resources, and ensuring adequate supplies, equipment, and materials are available to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment.
- →Supervises and evaluates housekeeping staff by assigning and monitoring work, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with cleaning and sanitation standards, providing performance feedback, and taking appropriate personnel actions.
- →Coordinates daily operations by adjusting staff assignments to meet workload and emergency needs, overseeing linen services and inventory, authorizing overtime when necessary, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- →Performs administrative and operational duties by serving as shift supervisor, assuming supervisory responsibility in the absence of the Hospital Housekeeping Officer, reporting maintenance issues, and performing housekeeping duties as needed to support uninterrupted patient care.
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
