What You'll Do
- →You will manage the stable facility and the well-being of its animals, primarily horses and mules to ensure operational readiness for the military pack animal training program.
- →You will maintain the barn, fenced irrigated pastures, and corrals, ensuring they are secure, clean, and in good repair.
- →You will feed, groom and monitor the health and condition of horses and mules.
- →You will act as a facilitator for daily training exercises, providing essential support to both seasoned animal packing instructors and novice students.
- →You will hold ultimate responsibility for the complete lifecycle of physical care for the animal stock, a critical role that directly impacts the success of the formal military program for pack animal employment You will conduct meticulous pre-mission health assessments.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
