About the Role
You will serve as a Historian in the Naval History & Heritage Command of NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan, prepare, and research background and perspective original studies, monographs, briefings and booklets that furnish detailed historical of naval activities.
- →You will investigate and define past events and provide analysis of these events so as synthesis, and interpretation, and forces to more effectively deal with similar problems.
- →You will respond to historical inquiries from the command, other Navy and Department units and organizations, veteran organizations, and the general public.
- →You will have professional experience with naval or military history, scholarly research techniques, very refined written and oral communication skills, and wide archival research experience is necessary.
- →You will have knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of historical research processes and procedures that enable the collection and analysis of disparate records and record groups.
