What You'll Do
- →Working as an High Voltage Electrician in the Office of Research Facilities (ORF), some of your duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Dismantle, repair, and assemble asynchronous and induction motors, motor generators, protective relays, and high voltage circuit breakers.
- →Pull in conductor, assemble bus bars, phases out and connects conductors.
- →Perform emergency cut-outs and substitutions and power lines and equipment, sometimes working on distribution systems when they are energized.
- →Repair electrical auxiliary equipment in the boiler and refrigeration plants.
- →Install, repair, and maintain complex electric power generating and distributing equipment, trues commutators, and slip rings of rotary equipment.
- →Perform routine and advanced test procedures to enable testing of all devices and equipment on the system.
