This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Operates AH-64 D/E rotary wing aircraft and associated flight simulator(s) as an instructor pilot located in Fort Rucker, Alabama.
What You'll Do
- →Review and evaluation of work is based on visits to ground classes, pre-flight and post-flight debriefs, observation of flight techniques, student end of course critiques, and reports from checks and standardization flights.
- →Conducts flight training while evaluating graduate and undergraduate aviators on pre-flight through post-flight tasks and maneuvers.
- →Attends daily IP briefing when performing IP duties and conducts daily student briefs when directed by the commander or supervisor.
- →Instructs and evaluates academic topics in accordance with TC 3-04.11 or current, equivalent publication(s), the aircrew catalogue of academic topics (ACAT), current Army and Aviation doctrine, and other special topics selected by the command.
