What You'll Do
- →Performs repairs that may include removing, adjusting, or replacing defective or worn parts and components including replacing seals and shaft sealing rings, horns, wiring harnesses, etc.
- →May assist heavy mobile equipment mechanics in the complete overhaul and repairs major systems, such as engines, transmissions, drive lines, and hydraulic utility systems Conducts functional checks prior to completion by operating the vehicle under conditions that simulate actual use.
- →Performs routine assignments independently by selecting tools, determining appropriate techniques, and carrying out tasks with minimal review during progress Performs functional checks on items, with work subject to final inspection for quality of workmanship
