About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Surgery, Urology Service at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Set up all equipment for endoscopic procedures and assists the physician with those procedures including transurethral resection of the prostate, transurethral resection of bladder tumors.
- →Prepare rooms for surgery or procedures; select and arrange appropriate instruments, packs, fittings, adapters, and ancillary equipment; assembles and tests component parts of cystoscopic instruments.
- →Serve as scrub and circulating assistant during surgery by handling instruments to the physician in proper sequence, anticipating his needs during various phases of surgery.
- →Serve as an assistant during the many and varied examinations, treatment, and surgical procedures performed in the urology clinic.
- →Perform radiographic procedures in the Urology Clinic.
- →Compile information concerning the patient's urologic history and gives the results to the physician taking care of that patient.
