The incumbent will be assigned to the State College Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) but will serve as a float to provide coverage across all five CBOCs and the main Altoona facility in the event of extended leave, call-off, a position vacancy, or when workload balance is needed. Daily or frequent travel will be required for this position.
What You'll Do
- →The Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) (TCT) serves in a generalist role to support and manage telehealth operations.
- →The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) supports the provision of patient care using telehealth technologies which increase a Veteran's access to care and support a Veteran's self-management.
- →This includes developing and delivering virtual and digital technologies which help Veterans communicate synchronously and asynchronously with their health care teams and coordinate, track and manage their health care.
- →These technologies may include, but are not limited to, Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), Store and Forward Telehealth (SFT), Video Conferencing, VA Video Connect (VVC), VA Mobile, My HealtheVet (MHV), Home Telehealth (HT), and other telehealth applications.
- →Primary responsibilities of the incumbent include, but may not be limited to: Supporting clinical telehealth encounters for both the patient and provider locations by serving as the tele-presenter per scope of practice.
- →Functioning as an imager and data manager for telehealth store and forward applications.
- →Managing real time clinical telehealth events, providing patient education, and providing technical and administrative support of telehealth operations.
- →Providing technical support to end-users, scheduling simple and complex intra-facility and inter-facility telehealth appointments, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology, and performing a variety of program support duties as assigned.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
