About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Surgery, Ophthalmology Service, at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Transport patients from hospital units to the Operating Room assuring safe transportation of the patient.
- →Check patient chart and identification band for completeness.
- →Hand instruments to the surgeon during the procedure by anticipating the surgeon's needs.
- →Assist anesthetist during induction and throughout surgical procedure.
- →Clean operating room after surgery, removes and dispose of soiled and/or contaminated materials; change linen; wash, disassemble, sterilize, and reassemble instruments.
- →Test operation of equipment daily to ensure effectiveness and parameters of sterilization are met.
