This position serves as an emergency medical technician (EMT) at the Ft. Belknap Service Unit located in Harlem, Montana. The purpose of the position is to perform basic technical health care extender functions within the emergency medical arena in response to various accidents and other emergencies involving injury and illness. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Recognize the need for ancillary personnel and direct all aspects of patient care and communication in the field for EMT-Intermediate level and below.
- →Perform vehicle maintenance up to and including cleaning and disinfection of each ambulance and equipment daily.
- →Make an independent preliminary assessment of the patients conditions.
- →Conduct a complete advanced examination of the patient to determine the nature, extent, and seriousness of the patient's condition.

Requirements
