About the Role
The Health System Specialist manages regulatory research committees, provide subject matter expertise regarding regulations that ensure compliance in research, and utilizes analytical and procedural skill to perform tasks related to the approval and maintenance of research projects including regulatory approvals, decisions, submissions tied to protocol execution, data reporting and management.
What You'll Do
- →This is a bargaining unit position.
- →VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Total Rewards Major Duties: Oversees and refines customized, networked computerized databases to allow for timely tracking of research projects.
- →Oversees the protocol review process of multiple programs and committees.
- →Ensures that animal and human subject research is reviewed, approved, and conducted in accordance with appropriate Federal, State, organizational regulations, and any applicable guidelines or standards.
- →Monitors quality assurance program implementation and indicators designed to prevent erroneous transactions and ineffective work practices.
- →Analyzes and evaluates each research project to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, and other applicable regulatory and procedural requirements.
- →Performs full reviews of local investigators' studies as part of the institutional quality assurance procedures.
- →Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am to 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible Schedule: Not Available Telework: This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework.
