About the Role

The West Los Angeles VA Health Care System is currently recruiting one Health System Specialist, in the Quality Management Service in Los Angeles, California. The incumbent functions as a liaison to multiple staff offices and serves as the conduit for information flow and management of assignments between such offices.

What You'll Do

  • Duties include but are not limited to the following: Work in coordination with other internal reviewing serves regarding routine audits and internal/external reviews of a national concern.
  • Function as a liaison to multiple staff offices and serves as the conduit for information flow and management of assignments between offices.
  • Work closely with senior management and others in implementing and evaluating policies, plans and internal operations systems such as correspondence management, information tracking among pertinent office and stakeholders and internal/external communication flows.
  • Recommend appropriate staff levels and types of positions needed to provide cost effective manpower utilization.
  • Manage and coordinate of all online communication tools such as assigned intranet websites, internal SharePoint website collection and other related informational tools in consultation with communication specialists.
  • Review Fund Requests from staff to ensure adequacy, completeness and conformance with procedural and technical requirements.
  • Track routine deadlines initiated by OIG/GAO/Accreditation Entities, and internal reviewing officials to ensure timely submission of responses and actions.
  • Conduct conventional studies on particular operational processes, issue topic or related special projects.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Management Service Organizational Chart and Personnel Distribution List.
  • Review Quality Management Actions to ensure completeness and consistency with the services mission and objective.
  • Facilitate and initiate the personnel management program for Quality Management.
  • Provide for on-site management of the day to day administrative needs for the Quality Management department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
