About the Position: This position is located at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for managing numerous manual and automated systems and software programs necessary for third party billing and collections.
- →Enter and extract accounts data for reports needed by supervisor or management officials.
- →Assist in monitoring the precertification process to insure that all patients are pre-certified by the pre-certification nurse/insurance company for hospitalization.
- →Conduct regular reviews of Accounts Receivable to identify positive or negative trends.
- →Seek assistance from the legal officer to process inpatient/outpatient insurance claims that require legal interpretations and/or intervention.
- →Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures.
