About the Position: This position is located at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Analyze and evaluate the credentials processes in meeting established goals and objectives set by the Medical Staff Manager.
- →Manage the initial, annual, biennial, and other privileging actions of health care providers to ensure short-term and long-range plans for implementation meet mission and all regulatory requirements.
- →Effectively communicate with the Commanders and Department Heads to ensure essential data is accessible for the award of privileges, appointment, and re-appointment of providers to the medical staff.
- →Implement ongoing regulatory requirements and change.
- →Serve as a MTF point of contact for fee-exempt Drug Enforcement Administration registration certificates.
- →Analyze and validate the medical license, education and training and competency information of providers requesting delineated medical privileges.
- →Manage the credentials of health care personnel; track expiration dates; provide notifications prior to the deadlines; and initiate timely and appropriate actions regarding deficient provider credentials.
- →Responsible to the Medical Staff Manager or Chief of the Medical Staff for validation for all credentialing/privileging matters.
- →Ensure processes are performed in accordance with directives.
