This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Works as a member of a maintenance unit work force for inland marine navigation structures, flood control structures, associated facilities, and occasionally general structures, facilities, or equipment that do not relate to flood control or navigation.
What You'll Do
- →Perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance on Lock, Dam, and Flood control structure operating equipment.
- →Operate, maintain and repair plant equipment belonging to the Maintenance Section.
- →Install, repair and maintain high pressure piping system such as hydraulic, high pressure air, or oil line systems.
- →Operate a large mobile crane and overhead gantry cranes.
- →Plan and perform work, utilizing blueprints or layout sketches.
- →Perform structural repairs and/or fabrication of gates, valves, piping systems, mooring pilings, bulk heads, masonry, concrete, wooden structures and other necessary components at USACE facilities or along waterways and levee systems.
