About the Position: Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Utilities Team, Operations and Maintenance Division, Public Works Directorate, exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations. Supervises a group of 10-15 workers directing activities of three different journeyman level trade occupations
What You'll Do
- →Plan weekly and monthly work schedule and sequence of operations for subordinates.
- →Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedule and methods and policies established by higher levels of supervision.
- →Select workers and assigns tasks to be performed.
- →Explains work requirement, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and provides advice when problems arise.
- →Determine equipment, supplies, and maintenance required.
- →Review job descriptions for currency and accuracy and makes necessary changes; reports detailing of employees to jobs other than their own.
- →Direct work activities of seasonal, special project, and special employment program employees to complete workloads that due to the size and complexity of the activity serviced.
