About the Role
You will serve as a journey level FUL- Plumber in Independence National Historic Park.
What You'll Do
- →As a Plumber, you will perform the following duties: Performs preventive maintenance to all plumbing and mechanical equipment and parts.
- →Installs, modifies, and repairs plumbing fixtures, bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, water fountains, and irrigation.
- →Cleans sewage drain lines.
- →Repairs and/or replaces potable water lines, water mains, and fire hydrants.
- →Installs and repairs submersible pumps and centrifugal transfer pumps.
- →Performs maintenance on wells, well seals, pumps, storage tanks, and water distribution mains.
- →Installs and repairs sewer drain systems (e.g., septic tanks, drain fields, sewage lift pumps, and related piping).
- →Serves as a member of the facility's snow response team and participates in snow removal and related activities.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.

- ✓Must have and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
- ✓You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record.
- ✓You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
- ✓This is a bargaining unit position represented by a union.
- ✓You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the uniform standards.
- ✓A uniform allowance will be provided.
- ✓You may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. *Additional Requirements located under qualifications* There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
