About the Role
You will serve as a FUL - Park Ranger I. The primary purpose of this position is to interpret resources to convey national significance; connect visitors to personal relevance; facilitate shared learning; support specific learning objectives to meet educator and community needs; inform the public for compliance and safety; support management of natural and cultural resources representative of national heritage; and enhance mutual understanding for individual and social benefit.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Develop and present formal and informal audience and learner-centered interpretive experiencesusing interpretive skills, techniques, and tools delivered in-person and through interpretive mediaand technology.
- →Coordinate the operation of a visitor facility and/or information desk.
- →Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate interpretive programs and products conducted by lower-level interpreters.
- →Provide the day-to-day coordination and execution of education programs, materials, and/or partnerships for a park to meet national/state/local standards, fulfill the needs of educators, engage students, and complement curriculum developed by educators.
- →Actively engage and interact with local communities through on and off-site representation and interpretive programming.
- →Coordinate the development and implementation of special projects (e.g., special events, youth initiatives, teacher workshops) from beginning to end.
Requirements

- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
