About the Role
Located in the Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs; Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counter Threat Finance and Sanctions (EEB/TFS), Office of Economic Sanctions Policy and Implementation or Office of Global Sanctions and Threat Finance.
What You'll Do
- →Provides guidance to senior officials on the development, coordination, and management of economic sanction policies for Department of State officials and interagency contacts for countering activities that threaten U.S. interests.
- →Analyses the economy of potential sanctions target countries to identify economically critical sectors where targeted sanctions would most effectively exert pressure to achieve the desired foreign policy outcome.
- →Monitors sanctions-related geopolitical, economic, and legislative developments to identify emerging issues requiring policy attention.
- →Analyzes and evaluates factors and conditions involved in the administration of U.S. foreign policy and sanctions programs.
