About the Role
This position is located in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, under the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cuba, Central America, and Migration Affairs, Office of Migration Affairs (WHA/MA). The position serves as a Foreign Affairs Officer and Senior Liaison Officer that facilitates effective coordination between the State Department and Department of Homeland Security component agencies to plan and carry out U.S. migration policy objectives.
What You'll Do
- →Manages one or more complex programs region-wide, including regional migration policy, programs, and arrangements.
- →Negotiates agreements and integrates operational objectives across Department offices and USG agencies to develop coherent strategies and positions that account for the implications of each course of action.
