This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent serves as a Force Rotation Specialist responsible for coordinating military force rotations worldwide, including synchronizing global deployment schedules, ensuring unit readiness, and aligning capabilities with Combatant Command requirements; manages complex logistic and operational deployment needs across branches, optimizing troop movement to support Department of War mandates globally.
What You'll Do
- →As a Force Rotation Specialist at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the principal advisor on operational matters impacting the development of sourcing recommendations for the annual rotational plan.
- →Develops, facilitates, and executes sourcing recommendations and plans, including the annual Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP), to meet the requirements of Combatant Commanders.
- →Leads the core analytical cell for conventional force analysis, develops and presents command-level briefings on sourcing issues, and provides recommendations on submitted requirements.
- →Acts as a subject matter expert by reviewing draft orders, doctrine, and policy documents to develop recommendations that shape Joint Staff issues concerning Global Force Management (GFM).
- →Provides training, oversight, and guidance to action officers and working groups on the processes, procedures, and automation tools necessary for GFM planning and execution.
