About the Position: Work is performed in kitchen where steam & heat from cooking & dishwashing equipment cause high temperatures and humidity. Work area can be noisy, & there is danger of slipping due to dropped food/beverages. Worker is exposed to hot liquids, sharp blades, & hot surfaces. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit & appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Check meal trays for accuracy.
- →Deliver meal trays to patient rooms.
- →Maintain stock and sanitation in ward pantry.
- →Explain ordering procedures to patients.
- →Prepare ingredients and assemble simple recipes.
- →Prepare sandwiches, salads, cold platters, and a variety of beverages.
- →Clean and sanitize working areas.
