About the Position: Work is performed in kitchen area with heat, humidity, noise, and danger of slipping and cutting. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical dishwasher.
- →Remove components of dishwasher for prevention maintenance and cleaning.
- →Scrape, soak, scour, and scrub the heavier cooking utensils such as mixing bowls and pots.
- →Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks throughout the food service and related areas.
- →Set up and break down cafeteria lines.
- →Transfer trash to disposal area.
- →Clean and sanitize work area in an orderly and sanitary manner.
- →Deliver meal trays to patients.
- →Label, date, and place food in proper storage.
- →Weigh, process, assemble, and label food products according to recipes.
- →Inspect food for freshness, quantity, and quality.
- →Prepare sandwiches, salads, cold platters, and drinks for future use.
- →Organize ingredients and completed recipes for efficiency.
