About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Rickenbacker's Cafe'.
What You'll Do
- →Prepares food and beverage items such as wraps, sandwiches, salads, soups, breakfast items, smoothies, espresso drinks, and gourmet coffees at Rickenbacker's using measured and standard recipes.
- →Observes portion control procedures when preparing menu items.
- →Services food in a snack bar style.
- →Sets up and operates smoothie machine.
- →Cleans machines in the preparation of food and beverage items on a daily basis and performs simple maintenance as needed.
- →Sells posted menu items, daily specials, and a limited variety of prepared food items, such as bagels, croissants, cookies, snacks, and drinks.
- →Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives payment (cash, credit card) and tenders change.
- →At the end of each shift, clears the register and turns over the receipts and supporting documents to the supervisor.
- →May prepare cashier's report and make depositions.
- →Maintains facility in a clean and orderly manner.
- →Cleans interior and exterior of facility daily.
- →Spot cleans area and equipment as needed during operating hours.
- →At the end of the day, cleans area and breaks down and cleans equipment.
- →Removes all pans at closing; washes rinses and sanitizes.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
