About the Role

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Oregon, Idaho/Montana and Washington Implementation (EWL/EWM/EWU) organizations of the Fish & Wildlife Program (EW), Environment, Fish and Wildlife (E). A successful candidate in the Fish and Wildlife Administrator position will serve as a Fish and Wildlife Administrator providing expertise to support project and contract management and expertise for technical and non-technical staff.

  • As a Fish and Wildlife Administrator, you will: Serve as a Fish and Wildlife Administrator and as a project manager for implementation of fish and wildlife protection, mitigation and enhancement measures at sub-basin and provincial geographic levels covered under the Fish and Wildlife Program.
  • Serve as a fish and/or wildlife biological expert in support of a broad spectrum of projects relating to habitat protection and enhancement.
  • Provide project management oversight for biological, engineering, and construction management.
  • Serves as technical expert on fish and/or wildlife biology issues.
  • Review and evaluate technical progress, financial reports and other documents; performing production inspection and status reporting, timely reporting of inadequacies noted in specifications or performance.
  • Support other BPA project managers on their projects and studies.
  • Develop, coordinate, and negotiate the development of strategies for specific Fish & Wildlife projects with the Council, regional fish and wildlife agencies, Tribal organizations, project operators, other interest groups, and other BPA organizations.

  • This position requires a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.
  • May be required to serve as Contracting Officers Representative for BPA grants and agreements; this duty includes additional training and certification.
