The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Firefighter/Paramedic assigned to a crew engaged in structural firefighting and rescue operations and assist in reducing and/or eliminating potential fire hazards to protect persons, property, or the environment and following protocols and providing advanced levels of life support.
What You'll Do
- →Provides advanced life support.
- →Directs EMS providers (First Responders, EMTs, and/or Paramedics) in delivering medical aid to the sick and/or injured patient.
- →Conducts a methodical and systematic patient assessment/physical exam and determines the nature, extent, and seriousness of the patient's condition.
- →Performs structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities, which may include large multistoried buildings, industrial areas, and/or base storage facilities.
- →Maintains firefighting equipment and fire station facilities.
- →Performs functional tests and inspections.
- →Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and housekeeping duties associated with assigned facilities.
- →Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
