THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FIREFIGHTER (CREW CHIEF-DRIVER OPERATOR) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T6315000 and is part of the NC ANG, National Guard (ANG-145th CES / MD 01082957 / 01082971).
Requirements
- ✓Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trail period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency.
- ✓Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest.
- ✓Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- ✓This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
- ✓Must comply with the AF Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- ✓Refer to DoD 6055.06-M, February 23, 2006, Table C2.T1, DoD Fire and Emergency Services Minimum Qualification Standards and Certification Requirements http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/605506m.pdf.
- ✓Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- ✓Incumbent may work a minimum of a 56-60 hour week with the supervisor's approval.
- ✓Incumbent is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless TDY or on leave.
- ✓Required to participate in a physical fitness program and pass an annual physical.
- ✓This position is covered by the Special Retirement Provisions Authority: Per OPM Letter dated 26 Jun 89 & DOD Memorandum dated 31 Aug 89, one of the following may apply: FERS - Position covered as secondary under the FERS special retirement provisions for Federal firefighters [5 USC 8401(14), 5 USC 8412 (d), and 5 CFR 842.802].
- ✓Authority: Secretary of Defense Memorandum, dated 31 Aug 89.
- ✓OR CSRS - Position covered as a secondary position under the CSRS special retirement provisions for Federal firefighters [5 USC 8331 (21), 5 USC 8336(c), and 5 CFR.
