This vacancy is for a GS-0501-9, Financial Services Specialist located in the the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE CAPE COD COMPTROLLER and BASE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT in BUZZARDS BAY, MA.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Financial Services Specialist and be responsible for assisting the Comptroller in providing professional accounting services and performing a full range of reconciliation and analysis function in the execution and oversite of Base Cape Cod's multi-million dollar operating expense budget..
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Assists with the oversight of budgeting and the accompanying maintenance of official accounting records..
- →Completes cost analysis, internal controls and compiling required reports..
- →Reviews financial activities to determine adherence to current policies and procedures..
- →Monitors and conducts extensive analysis of finances to identify real or potential situations of impropriate, ensuring proper Coast Guard financial procedures are adhered to.
