About the Role
The Financial Manager serves as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer and assists the Chief Financial Officer, as the facility financial expert, in establishing and maintaining an Integrated Financial Management System. This includes budget, payment, accounting, and managerial/financial reporting. Provides advice to the medical center for directing, evaluating, controlling operations. Direct supervision of Accounting, Technicians, VERA Coordinator, Travel Clerks, and the Agent Cashiers.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited: Participates in the overall general management of the various operating programs, is a responsible member of the management team and is relied upon for authoritative advice on all aspects of financial management.
- →Reviews the Status of Funds daily to assure the funds are available for the execution of operating budget. attends formal and informal management sessions and consistently contributes financial advice pertinent to the discussion during all stages of planning, policy formulation and decision-making.
- →Analyzes all components of resource allocation models and informs management of the latest changes and possible effects the changes may have on future operations.
- →Provides the necessary analyses and interpretations to maintain maximum effectiveness, efficiency, and economy.
- →Functions as the principal financial operating officer and advisor.
- →Distributes funds to operational services, analyzes actual experience as compared to established plans and makes projections, and indicates what adjustments in plans are necessary to maintain equitable program balance.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Telework: Ad hoc eligible.
